Q: Please describe the quality management system at your shop.

A: Our QC team is led by our QC Manager who has two quality technicians who work for him and an third-party AI who is on-site.  Our operations facility is driven by an operations director and an assistant plant manager.  Paget Equipment also carries an ASME U-stamp, R-stamp, and a NB-stamp designations and associated a QC manual to reflect our standards. Our vessel document packages are the other important part of vessel manufacturing. See our Quality Page for more information.

Q: Do you follow ASME welding standards for non-stamped tanks that are designed per ASME Section VIII Div 1?

A: We believe that applying ASME Section VIII standards for all tanks is the best practice for our customers.

Q: How many welders are qualified to weld SS, Duplex, Nickel alloys?

A: Paget Equipment has between 30 and 40 qualified welders depending on the time of the year.

Q: What welding capability do you have for shop fabricated tanks?

A: Full fabrication of a wide variety of alloys including: 300 series stainless steels, Duplex’s 2205 & 2507, Monel, Inconel, AL6XN, Nickel, Titanium, Hastelloy, Carbon, Zirconium and others.

Q: Do you have experience with fabrication of 304/304L, 316/316L, Duplex 2205, Duplex 2507, etc?

A: Yes, fabricating vessels in unique alloys is what we specialize in.

Q: Do you have a separate shop for Stainless and Duplex material that is isolated from carbon steel fabrication facility?

A: We are primarily a stainless steel fabrication shop.  Any Carbon steel is isolated to a separate spot on shop floor away from all other projects.

Q: What is the maximum size (diameter,  length, tonnage) of stainless, duplex, super duplex tanks that you can fabricate in the shop?

A: Our largest vessels will be 15’ in diameter, 150’ in length and 360,000 pounds.

Q: Do you have lining, painting, and cladding capability?

A: Yes, we provide all of those services.  Depending on the request, we work with industry experts  to meet our customer’s expectations.

Q: Do you have inhouse capability to design and draft tanks? If so, how many engineers/designers do you have?

A: We use SolidWorks for the design of the equipment and COMPRESS® by Codeware for ASME and API calculations.  We have inhouse FEA but we do not perform fatigue, thermal, CFD or fracture mechanisms. 

Q: Are you experienced with design and fabrication per ASME BPVC?

A: Yes, we have decades of experience partnering with our clients.

Q: Are you experienced with design and fabrication per API 620 / API 650?

A: Yes, we have decades of experience partnering with our clients.

Q: How many ASME qualified welders do you have?

A: Paget Equipment only has ASME qualified welders.  We have between 30 and 40 qualified welders depending on the time of the year.

Q: What is the total man-power of the fabrication shop?

A: Paget Equipment has around 60 people who work within the shop.

Q: Do you have heat treatment capability onsite or do you subcontract?

A: We do not have that service in-house but we have partners to execute if needed.

Q: What do you use for plate profile cuts (Plasma cut/laser cut/torch)? If plasma and laser cut then what size? And is it inhouse?

A: Paget Equipment owns a high–definition plasma table 8' x 24' up to 1.5" for our cutting processes.  For applications where we need additional resources, Paget Equipment has established an experience and extensive network of partners who can assist us to meet our customers needs.

Q: Do you have onsite machining capability? If yes, please list type, size, and quantity of machines.

A: We have onsite machining for components which are medium to small.  For larger or more complicated machined components, we partner with a specialty machine shop who has produce’s  components which meet our quality standards.

Q: What types of testing are available for equipment?

A: Paget Equipment can offer a complete package of tests and documented procedures to meet your needs.  In accordance with ASME Section VIII Division 1, material test reports, welder traceability, weld procedures and a full array of testing, including by not limited to PT, UT, RT, MT, FT, etc…

Q: Are you experienced with design and fabrication per ASME B31.3, process piping?

A: Yes, we have decades of experience partnering with our clients.

Q: What types of heat transfer surfaces are available?

A: Conventional jacket, Dimple Jacket, Half-pipe, Internal coil, U-Tube, and other enhanced tubing.

Q: What types of heads does Paget Equipment offer?

A: ASME F&D, F&D, Shallow F&D, Flat, Cone, Sloped, Flanged Only, Hemi, Elliptical

Q: What types of Insulation does Paget Equipment offer?

A: Mineral wool, Ceramic Coatings, or Foam glass.  We are happy to partner with you to listen to your specification.

Q: What finishes are available for your product?

A: Mill, 2B, #3, #4, #6, #7, Bead Blast, Passivation, Pickle Passivation and electropolishing
